This
trip has been specially design for parents with children:
daily distances, quiet roads, easy enough route, quiet
villages, gorgeous scenery, many places where to stop
and have some good time, several places where children
can play, possibilities to visit some castles, cave,
open air museum with the kids...But you will also
benefit of all the ingredients of our other tours in
the region: beautiful
scenery, lovely small roads and remote treasures
will be your daily bread...
The
route will lead
you to access magical places. Here, every step takes
you to a visible trace of human history like the countless
centuries old stone-built houses, the lovely villages
built during Middle Ages, the awesome monuments and paintings from
prehistoric times.
That
tour is 25 km a day as average. It is designed for aprent(s)
with child(ren) using a tag along or for parent(s) with
young teenagers using a teen/adult bike .

Day 1:
Pick up in the afternoon in Figeac,
a very nice town with lovely streets and buildings as
old as half a thousand years ...short drive to a peaceful
accommodation . First night in a very nice Bed and Breakfast
accommodation very typical from the area.
Day 2 : (15
km, optional longer ride possible):
Sublime parts of the Lot valley,
surrounded of limestone cliffs. Avery high but narrow
castle but also Cajarc circular medieval villageand
its cirque will charm you. Night in Cajarc. Cajarc is
very niceand animated. Swimming pool at the hotel.
15 or 24 km (to be choosen by you).
Day 3:
Continuing by the very nice Lot
Valley to Saint Cirq lapopie. Cenevieres lovely castle
on its rocky promontory. Calvignac village. St Cirq
lapopie famous village: overlooking a bend in the Lot,
the village is perched on the edge of the cliff; the
ancient houses rise up over the rocky slope protected
by the 500 years old church. Night nearby Saint Cirq
Lapopie. Swimming pool at the accommodation.

Day 4 :
The very nice Limogne limestone
plateau and its remote villages. Limogne animated small
town. 27 km
Night at the same accommodation
than day 3.
Day 5 :
The gorgeous Celé valley
surrounded of limestone cliffs. CAbreret very
nice village and castle, Pech Merle incredible prehistoric
cave decorated with lovely 18,000 years old prehistoric
paintings, Sauliac castle, Marcilhac village (and ruins
ofAbbey). Night in quiet and beautiful village (no swimming
pool). 26 km.
Day 6:
You are continuing by the Cele
Valley :Saint Sulpice unforgettable village and its
Troglodyte house (built into the
cliff,). Espagnac lovely village,
Corn, Figeac very animated town.
Night in Figeac downtown (no swimming
pool but a public swimming pool; too it is possible
to have an optional 3 stars hotel with a pool).

Day 7:
Breakfast and end of the trip
in Figeac (Drive back to the train station).
